Dressing Up

The kids really enjoyed receiving some of Beau and my old halloween costumes. They spent several days wearing one after another and I thought since halloween is coming up I would put some of the pics up so you can all enjoy them.

Liz had this pic on her myspace and I thought it was too cute not to include. What a long time ago. I actually saw someone sporting a wheres waldo costume on the today show this morning and it made me think of Beau. He was so cute all dressed up!

When I started this blog I was looking at it as just another thing to have to keep up with on an already busy list but I have found that I really enjoy it. I have realized that it not only makes me make more of an effort at taking pics but downloading them on the computer. It also gives me something to look back at and see how much the kids have grown. I hope that you all are enjoying it as much as I am.

Jake

I cant believe he is 2 and how grown up he has got! What happened to the time? I thought I would include these pics so everyone can see what happened to my baby boy.

Jakes Birthday Party

We had Jakes birthday party today for family and friends. Jake had a Volcano cake and we put dry ice in it for steam. It turned out really cute and I think he enjoyed the party.

Happy Birthday Jakers

Jake turned 2 on the 18th but because of hunting season we celebrated his birthday today. Will and I filled his room with balloons for when he woke up. He seemed to enjoy the suprise.

Pumpkins

We went to Fred Meyers the other day and Emilee found this pumpkin that weighted 114 lbs. She wanted to take it home but I couldnt justify spending 40.00 on a pumpkin. Maybe next year our pumpkins will survive and we can grow one this big.

Just another day hard at work

Jake and I went down to the shop to see Gpa Dan and Uncle Beau and Beau put him to work. I took the pics a couple of weeks ago with my phone camera but just learned how to put them on the computer and I thought these were really cute.

What? My mom is going where? Without me?

17 days and counting......

I look like I need a vacation right. So I guess it is a good thing that I am leaving in 17 days for Portland. Yeah!!!! I am super excited. My flight is booked. My bag is packed and I am ready! I cant wait to see Beck and Diane. The countdown has begun.

Boise State vs Hawaii

My friend Audra and I went to the Hawaii game this weekend while Will was gone. I refused to miss the game because he was not there. It was really fun, and to make it better we won, and to make it better we are number 12 in the BSC rankings.. Jake and Em stayed with Nana and Gpa Jim and while he was waiting for me to get back he climbed in Annies dog bed and crawled up and fell asleep. I thought it was too cute to not take a pic.

New Room

While Will was hunting the kids and I painted their room blue. Emilee wanted purple but when they get old enough we are going to move Em to the toy room and Jake will stay in this room and I didnt want to have to repaint. I convinced her it was Cinderella blue and that made it okay in the end. I still have to make curtains for the window but I really like the way that it turned out.

Hair, Hair, Hair

Emmy kept telling me that we needed to go see Aunt Harmony and get her hair cut so we did. Jake got a trim too but had a little trouble sitting still. So...its not the straightest cut but oh well. Will didnt get his cut he just felt left out that I was taking pics of the kids

Busy Bee

We have been crazy busy at our house. It seems like every time I turn around I have another project to do. It all started with the annual peach canning, but this year I added peach pie filling. I also was given some apricots and made pineapple apricot syrup. Soon after that the garden started producing and I canned about a dozen jars of tomato sauce. I also was given blackberries and made jam and froze half a dozen bags for pies. Tonight I cut up Wills deer and am hoping to get some apples to make pie filling and applesauce. The kids also got a few pumpkins and I am hoping to freeze and can some of that too. It is nice to have so much yummy stuff to eat but it is alot of work! I will be happy when I am done and can relax!
