Happy New Year

Em,Levi, and Jake. 12/2010

Once again this time of year has caught me by surprise and I find projects all over that I had every intention of getting done..... but I guess you do what you can.
This was a great year for the Greens! We had so many exciting things happening in our family. We feel very blessed this holiday season and hope that the real joys of Christmas fill your hearts and homes in the coming weeks.

Will, after many years of hard work graduated from Boise State in the spring with a degree in Business Economics. Shortly after that the owner of Best Bath approached him and offered him a promotion. He is now the production floor manager and is really enjoying his new duties. He had been with Best Bath for a little over 5 years at the time and was happy to be able to move up in the company. The position came a salaried raise, and with the current economy having many recent graduates without any work we feel very lucky that his hard work has paid off and benefited our family so much. As for free time Will was able to go hunting a few times and came home with a deer this year. We are hoping with no more school we will be able to spend more time next year in the mountains enjoying the great state of Idaho.

I was not able to get as much done this year as I would of liked. Since I was having the baby in June we decided to forgo the garden and just plant a few tomato and pepper plants. I still did can peaches, applesauce, salsa, chicken stock and soup, and made a variety of jams. I am looking forward to this year and being able to get back into the swing of things. I have many plans for the yard that I cant wait to start on!
After having the baby I started having gallbladder attacks and ended up having surgery again just 6 weeks after Levi was born. All is well now and I am happy to be feeling normal again.

Emilee started school this year. I cant believe how grown up she has become. She is loving her teacher, Mrs. Cochell and learning many new things. She has made lots of new friends and really enjoys the art emphasis at Christine Donnell . I have been able to volunteer on Fridays and have had lots of fun going to visual arts class with her. I know I am learning new things about artists and their work. We are very glad that she was able to get into the school. On the home front she is a great helper with her brothers and with doing chores around the house. I feel very lucky to have such a great girl!

Jake is missing Emilee but he has really stepped up while she is at school and helps with the baby. We have found that he loves music and singing. We got a new Wii game, Disney Sing It, which he loves. He is amazing with all the things he knows. He loves playing PBSkids online and working with Mom and Emilee with numbers and letters. He will miss the cutoff for school next year and will be home with me for another year but then after that.... look out world!

Levi has grown so much in the last 6 months. I had forgotten how much they change in such a short time. He is a wonderful baby, sleeps great(8hours), eats about every 4 hours during the day and overall happy! He loves Emilee and Jake and could play with them for hours. We love this little boy and are so glad to have him in our family.

We hope that you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
